Policies
Cancellation Policy
Because we dedicate 1:1 appointment slots to optimize your rehabilitation, we ask for 24-hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If you need to change your appointment within this window, a $50 cancellation fee will automatically be charged to your account.
Insurance
In order to maintain transparent pricing and optimize patient care, Warrior Wellness & rehab has chosen to be an out of network provider for all insurance except Medicare. A superbill will be provided upon request for you to submit to your insurance.
Referrals
In Tennessee you can come directly to see your physical therapist without a referral from an MD, however Medicare continues to require a referral which can be faxed to 423-389-9336 or emailed to jen@chattwarrior.com
Why Choose Out of Network?
No Surprises
We offer upfront pricing which is consistent no matter what service is provided. With in-network providers, you are billed by the type of service which could result in a bill of $900 or more for one visit! For example, in an initial visit for a dizzy patient the therapist may bill a high complexity evaluation ($360) and a canalith repositioning maneuver ($575).
You're in charge of your care
Most clinics have contracts with the insurance company that decide a reimbursement rate. Skilled hands on therapy unfortunately is often reimbursed at a lower rate.
Most insurance companies do not require that your doctor of physical therapy give you their undivided attention which could result in the use of therapy extenders and lower quality care.
More freedom
You are in control of your health, no waiting for insurance to approve your visits or how long you can be seen, you get to meet your goals and return to doing the things you love faster.
Gap exception
We chose to be an out of network provider because it allows us to provide highly specialized, quality care to our patients, especially our patients with complex medical needs such as Concussion, hEDS, POTs, vascular compressions, and chronic pain. We understand that finances can be a limiting factor, however a gap exception may be a good option in these cases. A gap exception is when there is a “gap” or disparity of in network providers qualified to treat your condition within a reasonable drive. You can choose to file for a gap exception with your insurance company and maintain the same benefits of up-front pricing without surprises while submitting your superbill to your insurance as in-network if your gap exception is approved.
